Location
Sudborough is located between Thrapston/Islip and Brigstock, directly off the A6116. Francis Giffen Memorial Hall is situated on Main Street, Sudborough. There is on-street parking directly in front of the hall but we ask that visitors park considerately for the benefit of residents. The hall is next to the telephone box which acts as an occasional art gallery. A defibrillator machine is attached to the exterior of the hall, next to the front entrance door.
Accessibility
The hall is accessed via a set of steps or a wheelchair accessible walkway.
Facilities
The hall comprises one large meeting area, suitable for all types of events and meetings and has the benefit of, projector with 3m screen, video conferencing camera and 5.1 audio system with free wifi provided by Gigaclear through their Community Hub programme. Tables, chairs and kitchen equipment are included in the cost of hire and certain items of equipment may also be hired separately.
The kitchen area leads directly off the hall and has a large serving hatch. Kitchen equipment includes an electric oven, kettles, hot water urn, a coffee maker, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. Ample crockery, cutlery and serving utensils are available as part of hire and may also be separately hired.
Please note that the hall does not have a refuse collection service therefore you will need to take all refuse away with you
There are toilet facilities which are wheelchair-accessible.
The hall is subject to a rolling programme of interior and exterior maintenance. The kitchen facilities have recently been upgraded,
along with improvements to electrics and fire safety.
There is a garden area at the rear of the hall with seating. The garden and children’s play area is due to undergo a period of redevelopment.

Time required for setting up and clearing away is included in the length of time charged for each hiring.

There is a Premises Licence (E/09/76530) in place in respect of the following activities:

Licensed hours are Monday to Sunday 10:00am to 0:00am
You are advised to check whether there are any additional licensing requirements with regard to events generally (and the sale of alcohol in particular) prior to booking an event.
* The Trustees hold a licence for sale of alcohol under the supervision of a trustee. We may be able to arrange a paid bar for your event (please contact us to discuss), otherwise a Temporary Events Notice will be required for the sale of alcohol.
